The film went in avant-premiere on May 3rd 2011 at DOCVILLE, the International Documentary Filmfestival in Leuven.
The film was voted “BEST BELGIAN DOCUMENTARY” by the Docville jury.

L'Ile Déserte had its international premiere at his year's 25th International Festival of Audiovisual Programs (FIPA, 23-29 Jan 2012), where it took the FIPA d’OR for best Creative Documentary.
